Grand Master Tran Trieu Quan
1952 - 2010
Dear ITF Members
It is with a very sad heart I must tell you that our Grand Master
Tran Trieu Quan has been found in the ruins of the Hotel Montana
in Haiti. I would like to tell you he was found well however that
is just not the case.
Grand Master Tran’s legacy will be a most honourable one. One that
will inspire many, one that will live on, not only in the Taekwon-Do
world but one that will live in the hearts of all of us forever
and ever.
Grand Master Tran has changed the way we in British Columbia train
in Taekwon-Do. He has help the Instructors be better Instructors,
the Students be better Students and made us all better people.
The “Do” is extremely important to Grand Master Tran so I would
ask that we show our love and respect for him by making sure we
practice the “DO” not only in the Dojang but in every aspect of
our lives. This, I believe will be one the best ways we can thank
Grand Master Tran for all he has done for us.
To the Tran Family: Mrs. Nguyen Thi My, daughters, Joliette, and
Cecilia, son Nicolas and the Grandbabies that Grand Master Tran so
lovingly spoke of, our deepest condolence on your loss. We, his
students thank you all for allowing us to share time with this
fine Gentleman.
