CATT Concussion Awareness Training Tool

CATT is an online utility which educates as to the signs, symptoms and return to school/training protocol for sufferers of potential concussions.

The program is available in a number of modules, Coaches, School Professionals, School Administrators, Parents or Caregivers and Medical Professionals.  The course and the final exam are performed online in a matter of 45 minutes or less and is free to take.  A certificate is issued upon successful completion.  The course trains individuals in the various positions how to recognize the possibility or probability of concussion and the protocol that should be followed immediately through return to school and training.

The Board feels that this is a valuable tool and that Chief Instructors should consider acquiring this training.  Realistically everyone teaching, coaching or umpiring should have the certificate.  This would benefit increased safety for our students. It also may be a consideration when insurance rates are set each year.
